I love PopCap mostly for making some of my favorite games (current addiction:Solitaire Blitz), but I also love them for giving tocharityand good causes. Today, and for the next 72 hours, proceeds from in-game boosts, or “Idols,” purchased in Facebook gameZuma Blitzwill go toAutism Speaks, an organization that funds research into autism prevention and treatment. I think it’s incredible that playing a Facebook game could help people.
InZuma Blitz, these Idols will give you perks, like an extra minute on the clock, or faster firing balls. For this three-day period, the Idols are available at 25 percent of their original price. Each $1 spent on Idols equals a $1 contribution toward Autism Speaks, with a maximum of $25,000.

If you haven’t triedZuma Blitz, it’s like crack. It takes one of PopCap’s finest puzzle games and makes it a social contest where you try to play at the top of your game to score the highest in one minute.I’ve been playing it since beta, but I still suck. If you’re having trouble winning, we ran sometips onZuma Blitznot too long ago.
