New TV shorts to premiere on August 18
We went from not having aPaRappa the Rapperanime to having aPaRappa the Rapperanime debuting on August 18 in an instant. Life is good.
Fuji TV has announced that the property created in 1996 by former pop-artist Masaya Matsuura is getting its own series of anime shorts, in a show calledPJ Berri no Mogu Mogu Munya Munya— to star PJ, PaRappa, and Chop Chop Master Onion, animated by Doga Kobo. It’s main purpose is to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the franchise, and the 15th anniversary of the original anime.
I’m still very much in love with this crew, and think of them on a regular basis. Whenever I see donutsI usually think of PJ, I have Lucio’s voiceline as “You Gotta Believe!,” I buy every re-release I can, and I was one of those people who actually likedPlayStation All-Starsand constantly played as PaRappa.
I’d love nothing more than to seeApe EscapeandPaRappamake a comeback on the PS4.
