Coming in 2014

In a surprise move that surprised absolutely no one, Sega recently unveiled a new entry in its criminal action series entitledYakuza Restoration. Today, we get our first look at the upcoming game, which eschews its predecessors’ contemporary setting in favor of what seems to be a delightful period piece.

The publisher has dropped a pair of trailers showcasing everything from acts of extreme violence you’d expect of a katana-toting warrior to more mundane aspects of life such as gardening and even a backflipping dog. It looks absolutely fantastic. Hopefully, Sega will decide to actually localize the title at some point after it hits shelves in Japan on August 07, 2025 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
