What we know so far aboutFinal Fantasy XVI(FF16) DLC so far
One of the issues thatFinal Fantasy XVhad is the lack of clarity around its narrative, which was slightly resolved by its DLC and prequel film. However, the 16th entry told a complete story from beginning to end. In an interview withGamerBraves(viaPSU) the producer of the game Naoki Yoshida acknowledges that.
“But now we understand we’re getting feedback from players that have played the game and a lot of players want to see more, and we know that and understand that,” said Yoshida. “For us, we’re taking that and then thinking about our options moving forward, so hopefully in the near future we can have something that we can give to you all.”
With this quote, there seems to be DLC plans in motion.
What would this DLC entail?
With so much of the timeline skipped inFinal Fantasy XVI,perhaps we could see character-focused DLC like inFinal Fantasy XV.We could get an episode on Jill before she reunited with Clive, fighting for the Iron Kingdom. Additionally, there could be a prequel about the original Cid, protecting the downtrodden and formingThe Hideaway. There are a lot of options on the table.
