Prestigious event returns in December

Although Sony Interactive Entertainment took the opportunity last week to announce that they would be skipping the PlayStation Experience this year, they have also just announced a date for the annual PlayStation Awards 2018.

The event will be held on December 3 at the Grand Prince Hotel New Tanakawa in Japan. A variety of titles will receive prizes based on their successful sales. This includes a Silver prize for games passing the 500,000 units mark, and Gold for those that scored the lucky one million. The three top-selling PSN titles will also receive plaudits.

Other categories will include PSVR, Indie titles, and the User’s Choice award, voted for by the Japanese PlayStation community. If you want to catch the festivities yourself, then the event will be screened live on YouTube for all. Who would be getting your vote this year?
