In a move that PS5-owningRatchet & Clankfans had been calling for, Insomniac Games is going to update 2016’s PlayStation 4 titleRatchet & Clankto hit 60 frames per second when played on a PlayStation 5. The free update is planned to go out in April, which,oh shit, is already almost here.

Asked if there would be any extra DualSense integration, Insomniac simplypointed tothe upcomingRatchet & Clank: Rift Apart. Between the free giveaway for Play At Home 2021 and now this update, it’s clear that they’re looking to refresh everyone and roll right into the new PS5 gamein June.

I kind of wish I hadn’tjustgone back to platinum this sucker given how much the frame rate stood out to me until I adjusted to it (and even then). That said, I genuinely enjoyed my time with the game, so I can’t complain. Even if the PS4 re-imagining is less than ideal from a series-wide standpoint, there aren’t many games like it right now – which is a big reason I’m looking forward toRift Apartso much.
