Battle for Bikini Bottom has to be the most-wanted

THQ Nordic has been steadily reviving games from the expansive THQ catalog, fromDe BlobtoTitan QuesttoSphinx and the Cursed Mummy. Today, the company announcedplans to re-releasea bunch of old licensed titles based on Nickelodeon properties. I can already see theSpongeBobmemes.

Here’s what’s on the docket, generally speaking:

“It is a perfect fit for our ‘asset care’ strategy: bringing back fan-favorites, continuing to support legacy games and make them available on current and even next-gen platforms,” said Adrienne Lauer, Vice President of Digital Sales & Business Development Americas.

Some of these shows spawned a ton of different titles, so it’ll be interesting to see what exactly THQ Nordic chooses to focus on. I don’t have any particular nostalgia for these games, but even with the less-than-great adaptations, it’s nice to see them preserved on modern platforms.
