This could be the most touching movie about brawling animals yet

If you showed us your list of video games that you thought would work best as movies,Rampageis likely not one of them. You know,Rampage? That old, Midway arcade game with the giant monsters destroying the city? All of the hip, young millennials know about that one. Anyway, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is in this movie.

If thefirst trailer for the filmsomehow didn’t convince you, we doubt that this new one will. We see the emotional connection between Johnson and his gorilla companion, George, who inexplicably grows to gargantuan sizes with a hunger to level as many buildings as possible. There’s even a sequence with a police officer pointing a gun at George, only for Johnson to yell “NO!”

And because there are two other monsters from the video game, George has to fight them. Also, Dwayne Johnson, who seems entirely nonplussed at the sight of a flying wolf, has huge muscles, beats up people and says some quips.

Whatever. Forget the fact that there are plenty ofGodzillaandKing Kongmovies you can already watch. The movie is out on 4/20 this year. Smoke if you got ’em.
