Infinite Air hits PC, PS4, and Xbox One on October 25

BesidesSnowandSteep, there’s another snowboarding game coming down the line —Mark McMorris Infinite Airfrom HB Studios, which last worked on the golf simThe Golf Club. I don’t know that any of them nail that exact style I’m looking for as anSSXfanatic, but the more the merrier in this genre.

As its name implies,Infinite Airfocuses more on real-world riders. So far, the roster consists of Mark McMorris and his brother Craig, Silje Norendal, Torstein Horgmo, Danny Davis, and Ulrik Badertscher.

“Explore a vast backcountry, fully customize your own mountain ranges and build your own parks in the most authentic snowboarding game ever created. With fluid, physics-driven control mechanics, procedural mountain generation and real-world competitions like Slopestyle, Halfpipe and Big Air you’ll ride your way through infinite powder and realistic runs,” reads the developer summary.

From that description and the footage in this trailer,Infinite Airlooks less arcade-y, which I’m sure some of you will appreciate. I can’t say I’m blown away, but, really, it’s the handling that matters most.
