This rather boring GIF represents the agony that someDayZplayers are going through. Version .55 just launched, and it looks like randomly broken legs are one of the features that rolled out. Just when you thought the zombie apocalypse couldn’t get any tougher.
For what it’s worth, it’s unknown if this is a bug, or the result of a newly-implemented physics calculation that takes weight into consideration. With regard to the above GIF, people have responded saying it’s the amount of gear being toted around that caused a broken leg from a slight fall.
Fracturing a limb from a slight fall might not make for a fun experience, butDayZleans toward “simulation,” and at least it’s somewhat realistic. However, if that’s the case, this video’s tough to process. Breaking a leg after gingerly walking up some stairs? Osteoperosis is the real threat during the end of days.
Obviously,DayZis still a ways out from a proper release; Version .55 is a far cry from 1.0. As bad as it’d suck randomly breaking legs, at least those players still have ’em.
