It also slightly reminds me of Under the Skin, weirdly

There’s a new horror adventure in town, and it’s rocking the cryptic title ofThe Hum. The upcoming PC/Mac title is under development using Unreal Engine 4, with additional support for Oculus Rift. In short, this means you’ll be seeing Markiplier or PewDiePie crying themselves to sleep and/or making fools of themselves while playing it. But you know what? I’m still interested and I want in on it.

The Humplaces you in the shoes of a survivor who’s taken shelter in a barn ever since an alien invasion began months ago. After living relatively comfortably in said barn for some time, suddenly things are getting a little freaky — at least, as freaky as they can get in tandem with an alien invasion. The survivor begins waking up each day with new abilities, new memories, and new fears. What’s going on? Developer Ariel Arias mentions abductions and stealth will play a major role in getting to the bottom of what’s going on, and I’m excited to see what comes ofThe Hum,especially if it breaks the mold of conventional horror and tries hard to distinguish itself from the rest of the pack.

There simply aren’t enough creative horror games anymore, especially with the massive amount of YouTube Let’s Players out there who scream and writhe around about every little thing that makes the slightest noise. Seriously. It’s embarrassing. I’m ready to be impressed,The Hum. Let’s make it happen.
