In case you missed it, Destructoidlaunched its TikTok channelthis year, and our hosts Brett Medlock and Mary Stowe have been making daily gaming videos ever since. Comedicnews recaps, impassionedResident Evilrants, and a surprisingly real Waluigi renderyou can’t unsee— depending on the day, Dtoid’s TikTok channel has a bit of everything.
It’s admittedly a new take on Destructoid, and we thought it would be fun to organize an old-school contest — with a ridiculous prize! — that calls back to this website’s roots.
Rest assured, you won’t have to film yourself. Instead, we’ve got a puzzle for you to solve.
Here’s how to participate, fellow humans
To win the Destructoid TikTok Challenge, you’ll need tofind various lettersscattered throughout some of our past (and future) TikToks. Then, using these hidden letters, you’llassemble a mysterious word— a “person, place, or being,” as Brett coyly puts it. If you’re the first person to submit the correct word as a reply to the contest announcement video on TikTok, and you live in theUnited States, congrats! You just won all three consoles.
As of today, there are four clues floating around Destructoid’s TikTok channel, with more on the way soon. In two weeks, we’ll post a new video letting you know when all of the secret letters are officially out, but it’s up to you to crack the case. Good luck!
