In order for an MMO to truly succeed, it really needs to cater to as many people as possible. At the core of this idea are the MMO’s character classes and their various skill trees. Every person who joins an MMO hopes to see that one magnificent character class that epitomizes everything that person loves to see in a playable character. After seeing the video aboutStar Wars: The Old Republic‘sJedi Consular, I think I finally have that class.
The Jedi Consular seems to be one of the heavy Force-using classes inSWTOR.One of their specializations revolves mainly around defense and healing, including the ability to revive fallen allies. The other specialization is quite different, relying on stealth and huge burst damage to get through a fight.
I suppose the big question here is whether or not this class play any differently than similar classes in other MMOs. If you were selected to be a part of the most recent beta test you’ll be able to find out for yourself, but otherwise you’ll have to wait untilDecember 20th.
