With just over three weeks left before release, Nintendo has released another new song from the upcomingSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate. This time it’s from the surprise hit of the Wii U,Splatoon. Joining the previously revealed “Bomb Rush Blush” arrangement, the second track to get the remix treatment is “Seaskape.”
The person responsible for this arrangement is Hirokazu Tanaka. You can check out the new tune below.

While Hirokazu Tanaka isn’t involved in many games today, he’s still a big part of Nintendo’s past and current operations. During the eras of the NES and SNES, he was responsible for the soundtracks of iconic games such asMetroid,Dr. Mario,Kid Icarus, andTetris. Currently, he is the president of Creatures, Inc., the company responsible for the Pokemon trading card game as well as developing spinoff titles and assisting with the main series.
Despite all this, Hirokazu has still contributed to previousSuper Smash Bros.games. ForBrawl, he provided the arrangements for “Donkey Kong” and “Squeak Squad Theme,” while forSuper Smash Bros. 4he had a larger contribution, contributing “PAC-MAN (Club Mix),” “Chill (Dr. Mario) Ver. 2,” and “Balloon Trip.” You can listen to the first one below.
