Paldea’s metal-eating, hammer-wielding and Corviknight-hating fan-favorite Pokémon is finally arriving inPokémon Go, with Tinkatink, Tinkatuff, and Tinkaton making their debuts in the mobile game fromApril 16 to April 22.
The queen arrives as part ofPokémon Go’sThe Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration event, which along with Tinkaton and its pre-evolutionsbrings back Captain Pikachu and its Shiny formfor those who missed out on it last time, as well as a brand newFloragato wearing a hat with Liko’s pinas the new costumed Pokémon spawning during the event.

It’s a big celebration, but let’s be honest: If you are anything like me, you are only excited to see Tinkaton smash its way into the game finally, even if its Shiny form is nowhere to be seen.Tinkatink evolved into Tinkatuff with 25 Tinkatink Candy, whereas you canevolve Tinkatuff into Tinkaton with 100 Tinkatink Candy. So no unique evolution method will be needed (thank Arceus).
Let the festivities begin! 🥳The Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event returns in#PokemonGO! 🎉🤩Human characters from the animated series alongside Pokémon first discovered in the Paldea region will make their Pokémon GO debuts!https://t.co/MOuoHvXtzHpic.twitter.com/2XIb6Ameoj

Sadly, the big downside to this is thatTinkatink is not a wild Pokémon spawn and will be locked to 7km Eggsinstead, forcing you to break out the Egg Incubators in hopes of finding one. After the event ends, Tinkatink will only be found in 10km Eggs. You can also get Elekid, Hatenna, and Charcadet in 7km Eggs during the event, but who cares about those Pokémon when Tinkatink is on the line!?
You can pay an extra $4.99 though to get Paid Timed Research during the event that rewards encounters with Tinkatink, an event-themed avatar pose, and an Egg Incubator if you want to verify you get the best girl in all Paldea without having to rely on Egg RNG.

In terms of event bonuses, Team Go Rocket balloons will be appearing more frequently, with 1/2 Egg Hatch Distancewhen eggs are placed into Incubators during the event. Lastly, there will be anincreased chance to encounter both Captain Pikachu and Floragato wearing a hat with Liko’s pin.
In terms of Wild Encounters, the following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild:

Captain Pikachu will be mostly found in raids over wild spawns, sadly, but it can learn the exclusive Charged Attack Volt Tackle if you catch one, so at least there’s that.
There are also the usual offerings of Raids and other bonuses, but let’s be honest. You and I are only here for Tinkaton. So let’s get out there and catch a Hundo, trainers!
