Total War: Rome 2 led the way

Sega didn’t have a great year, but did enough to stay in the black. Due to a “harsh market environment,” the publisher’s physical videogame sales tumbled to 8.7 million. However, the company noted that mobile and digital PC titles “remained favorable.”

Of everything Sega released in the last fiscal year, Creative Assembly’sTotal War: Rome 2did the best, moving 1.13 million units. It was the publisher’s only title to break the one million barrier. Other noteworthy figures wereFootball Manager 2014(790,000),Sonic Lost World(710,000), andCompany of Heroes 2(680,000).

Despite the lackluster sales, Sega still noted a profit for the fiscal year of approximately $300M, and a revenue of $3.54B. However, profits were down 8.2 percent when compared to fiscal 2013.
