Sega snaps upThree Rings Design, the studio behindPuzzle PiratesandSpiral Knights.Puzzle Pirates was a fun MMO and Spiral Knights won a Game Developers Choice Online Award for Best Online Game Design.
Sega says that this acquisition is part of their move into the digital space. Three Rings Design joins Sega subsidiaries The Creative Assembly and Sports Interactive.
For now, the focus will be to continue to supportSpiral Knights.They’ll also continue work on the MMO based on TV seriesDoctor Who.
