Both games to offer free crossover content

In a bizarre move, Capcom has announced that it is teaming up with Valve for some playable cross-promotion content betweenLeft 4 Dead 2andResident Evil 6.
For starters, the cast fromLeft 4 Dead 2will be featured inResident Evil 6‘s “The Mercenaries: No Mercy” mode, which is exclusive to the PC version of the game. No Mercy will also feature the Witch and Mini-Tank enemy types fromL4D2in addition to the playable cast. This will all drop on April 5 for free.
But the craziness doesn’t stop there, asLeft 4 Dead 2is getting itsowncrossover, whenResident Evil 6enemies (the Lepotitsa, Napad and Ogroman) creep into the game this spring.
Valve’s Chet Faliszek had this to say on the collaboration: “We’re hugeResident Evilfans, so when the opportunity arose to work directly with Capcom to combineL4D2andRE6, we jumped at it.”
Yep, so this is a thing. I may be the only person excited for it.
