Action anime fans have something to look forward to asRecord of RagnarokSeason 3 is officially confirmed to be in production. But while that is the case, the anime is yet to announce an official release window.

The anime’s official websitemade the announcement, revealing that the new season is titledRecord of Ragnarok III. Alongside the announcement, the staff released a teaser visual, a teaser trailer, and a special celebratory illustration from Azychika, the manga’s artist.

Production staff changes

Season 3 will feature a different production team, with Koichi Hatsumi (Tokyo Revengers, Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown) taking over as director at Yumeta Company × Maru Animation. The previous season was a collaboration between Yumeta Company and Graphinica. Yasuyuki Muto (Tokyo Revengers) returns as the main writer, while Yoko Tanabe and Hisashi Kawashima will serve as the new character designers. Yasuharu Takanashi is also returning to compose the anime’s music.

About Record of Ragnarok

Record of Ragnarokis based on Umemura and Azychika’s manga of the same name. The story revolves around a 13-round, one-on-one match tournament between humans and gods with humanity’s survival at stake.

The series’ high-octane action allowed it to quickly gain popularity, which only increased when it was first adapted into an anime in June 2021. The anime’s second season was divided into two parts. The first part came out in January 2023, while the second aired in July of the same year.
