Welcome to the December edition of Forums, we have them. Otherwise known as “There are far too many games out now” edition. It’s now officially the holidays but that hasn’t stopped us over in Forum land. I’ve got all sorts of things in store for December, some of which I will talk about in this article. I’m also going to recap what has gone down in the Forums in November (but that was so last month, psssh)....
On the GDC show floor Sony showed several working examples of Magnet (working title), a new series of demos showing off augmented reality technology that does not require AR cards or any other type of special markers to function. Instead, cameras look to patterns in real world objects to create their own markers. We saw this tech at work in a demo where a PS Vita camera was pointed at an intricate floor rug....
It’s ‘impending’ Borderlands 3has less to talk about than usual this week. The regularly-scheduled hotfix doesn’t include any balance changes, which is something that Gearbox liberally tinkers with week after week. We do, however, get confirmation that the endgame overhaul is right around the corner. TheBorderlands 3hotfix notes for April 16mention that Gearbox “added gameplay tags for impending Mayhem 2.0 release.” That seems to be a behind-the-scenes thing, but the use of the word “impending” is good news....
No, its notBidoof, though I could see why some may worship that cute/ugly little mongrel. It’s the other guy, Arceus; he’s the God of all Pokemon. I still think he looks more like a bad cross between a Yu Gi Oh monster and the spirit of the forest fromThe Princess Mononoke, but who am I to judge? I’m a Pokemon atheist at heart anyway. All Poke-religion aside, I’ll be heading out to Toys R Us sometime between November 7th and November 15th to download this, the last Pokemon in the Diamond/Pearl/Platinum Pokedex....
The Pok?mon really sell it Good Smile Company announced a brand new Pokémon Nendoroidthe other day(viaTomopop) based off ofPokémon Originsprotagonist Red, but all we really had to go off of back then were fuzzy images of a sign displayed during Bandai’s series of announcements. Now, we’ve got a good luck at little Red and a price point: ¥4,500 (~$44), which seems quite reasonable. He’s set to be released in Japan this September....
