2 Death 2 Stranding
Well, it looks like moreDeath Strandingis on the way. Norman Reedus, star ofThe Walking DeadTV series who played Sam “Porter” Bridges inDeath Stranding, seems to have just confirmed a part two in a new interview.
In an interview withLeoEdit(spotted byGamerUP), Reedus is asked about filming for theDeath Strandingvideo game. To which he responds, “We just started the second one.”

In a follow-up question, Reedus tells the story of how he and Hideo Kojima met through mutual friend Guillermo Del Toro. He describes seeing an early version of Kojima’sSilent Hillproject. Reedus committed and well, the rest islong, fraughtvideo game history.
“It took me maybe two or three years to finish all the MoCap sessions and everything,” said Reedus. “It takes a lot of work. And then the game came out, and it just won all these awards, and it was a huge thing, so we just started part two of that.”

Well, that certainly reads like two confirmations of a newDeath Stranding.
Bridging the gap
Kojima has teased a bit about his next project in the past. In June 2020, he postedsome imagesof his workspace as he worked on a new title with Yoji Shinkawa, one of his longtime collaborators. Fans at the time even spotted the word “Bridges” on some concept art.
But Kojima has also been rumored to up to several different projects. A report indicated he wasworking with Microsoftfor an Xbox game. And he alsotold Famitsuthat his next project is a big title that is a “new challenge.”

Death Strandingdid get aDirector’s Cutlast year, adding new content and tools for Sam to make the journey across America. We haven’t had any indication of a sequel until now though. But according to Norman Reedus, I guess we can look forward to a possible newDeath Stranding.
