If anyone knows sports, it’s him

If you’re like me, you know the name and face of Mark Cuban, but you probably don’t know a whole lot about him. I put on my detective coat and hat and did some digging (read: Wikipedia) and found that he is a businessman, investor, film producer, author, television personality and philanthropist that owns the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks and Magnolia pictures. Cuban also appears on reality TV showShark Tankas an investor.

Cuban participated in a charity event yesterday where heplayedLeague of Legendsagainst the CEO of Intel, Brian Krzanich. Prior to the match, Cuban was interviewed by Kristine Leahy and had some choice words for her co-host onThe Herd, Colin Cowherd. Cowherd had previouslythrown a fit over eSports getting air timeon sports networks.

“I love Colin, but he is an idiot when it comes to eSports. I’m a noob, I’m still getting into it, but I love it. It is like playing five dimensional Chess against the world; it is one of the smartest games I’ve ever played, you gotta have dexterity, you gotta be quick. This is a real sport. People are going to figure it out really, really quick.”

Cuban went on to say that he had played three games, and had picked it up so quickly because he is “fucking smart.” After the match, Kristine informed Cuban that hehad been fined $15,000for dropping the “f-bomb” but that it was okay because it was going toThe CyberSmile Foundationcharity. At this point, Cuban doubled up by saying “fuck it” meaning he was spending $30,000 for two fucks. I’m sure Cuban has plenty of more fucks to give considering the shirt he is wearing at the event is a reference to HBO’sSilicon Valley, where abillionaire is obsessed with having “three commas”meaning he is worth a billion dollars. Oddly enough the character in that show is loosely based off Mark Cuban.

A battle scene in Battlefield 6 Open Beta

I may not really have known much about Mark Cuban before today, but he just became one of my favorite people. He gave $30,000 to an organization which raises money to combat cyberbullying and looks to create a more positive Internet (who doesn’t want that?), deemedLeague of Legendsa sport, and wore a really cool shirt referencing one of my favorite TV shows. What a cool (and rich) dude.

Now thatLeague of Legendsis a sport it is only a matter of time tillMega 64’s predictions come trueand the NFL crumbles.
