Miles Apart
Insomniac has confirmed that its upcoming comic-book sequelMarvel’s Spider-Man 2will deliver an “epic, single-player experience” when it arrives on PS5 later this year, seemingly shutting down recent whispers that the studio was developing a co-op title for its latest adventure.
Insomniac quietly made the confirmation in asimple Twitter responseto a fan who straight-up asked the studio if there was any truth in the rumors — rumors that suggested Peter Parker and Miles Morales would be teaming up for double arachnid action across the rooftops of Manhatten. But Insomniac succinctly noted thatSpider-Man 2is being developed as another single-player title, much like the originalMarvel’s Spider-Manand its excellent spin-offMarvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

All that said, the new sequelisexpected to feature both characters, suggesting twin campaigns with the player swapping between each. It is believed that the duo will meet up with various allies and enemies from the Marvel universe, eventually leading to the gunky doorstep of the vicious symbiote, Venom. The alien antagonist will be voiced byCandymanstar and unquestionable horror legend Tony Todd.
