Once you’ve unlocked Ginger Island inStardew Valleyand you’ve amassed a pretty generous hoard of 100Golden Walnuts, you’ll be able to unlock a special room — Qi’s Walnut Room. In this room, there are three machines, each with a unique function.
Inside Qi’s Walnut Room, you can accept special challenges, track your progress towards Perfection, and unlock the ability to earn and spend Qi Gems. Those gems come in handy for theStardewcompletionist, allowing you to get exclusive items that aren’t available elsewhere in the game.

How to unlock Qi’s Walnut Room inStardew Valley
Because Qi’s Walnut Room is located on the Western side of Ginger Island, you’ll need to unlock Ginger Island West first byusing 10 Golden Walnuts. Once you’ve done this, head to the Western edge of the map and continue until encountering a blue door with a Golden Walnut.
This is Qi’s Walnut Room, and once you’ve handed over 100 Golden Walnuts, you’re allowed to enter.

Perfection Tracker
This machine allows you to see what you need to complete in order to achieve Perfection. Each thing counts as a certain percentage, with Perfection obviously being reached at 100% completion. There are 11 things that need to be completed. To check your progress towards Perfection, interact with the statue in front of the Vending Machine on the Right of the room.
Special Orders Board
These challenges are set out by Mr. Qi and are pretty challenging to complete. While these may take a few tries, they reward a large number of Qi Gems which will come in handy once you visit the Vending Machine.
Vending Machine
Qi’s Vending Machine contains a myriad of items which cannot be purchased or obtained anywhere else inStardew Valley. While some of these can only be purchased once (such as Pierre’s Missing Stocklist and the Key to the Town), most can be purchased as many times as you like.
*The Golden Egg can only be obtained once the player has reached Perfection.
