As another week goes by in Season 23 ofDestiny 2, this week’s reset adds the third quest in the Riven’s Wishes line. And while there’s some newMass Effect-inspired armoralso available through the Eververse Store, the lucrative rewards from Riven might still be stealing the spotlight.

Riven’s Wishes are a series of quests, with one new task appearing with each weekly reset. After completing these quests, players are rewarded with a Wish Token, which can be traded forLightfallexotics, Last Wish Raid weapons, or eventhe best weapon shaderin the game. The first weekhad Guardians chasing after public events, whilelast week, players had to find Ascendant chests within the Dreaming City. Now, Riven’s Wishes 3 asks Guardians to spelunk some Lost Sectors on Legendary or Master difficulty.

While the task is more straightforward than previous weeks, enemy difficulty could make this Riven’s Wishes quest the hardest yet for some players.

Don’t fear the Lost Sector

As always, the Riven’s Wishes quests are available from Mara Sov in the H.E.L.M. This week, Riven’s ask is for Guardians to eliminate enemies in Legendary or Master Lost Sectors. While this may initially sound like a nightmare for players who hate farming Exotic armor from those very same activities, there are a couple of caveats that make this a bit more manageable.

First off, while it’s fair for players to hate higher-difficulty Lost Sectors because of past solo grievances, this Riven’s Wishes quest does not demand Guardians go it alone. If players want to bring a posse into the Lost Sector, they absolutely can. And it may even qualify as a good idea, considering how much faster you’ll be able to clear it.

In addition, at least as of reset day, the featured Lost Sector in question is Aphelion’s Rest. If players are having a tough time trying to clear it, they can always attempt to cheese their way through the quest. The specifics of this Riven’s Wishes quest only ask for enemy kills, not completion. Technically, players could set the Lost Sector to Master difficulty, eliminate the horde of minor enemies before the first Champion, and then rinse and repeat.

A quick week for the daring

Once players find what works for them, Riven’s Wishes 3 should be a relatively quick completion. If Guardians want the fastest clear possible, a solo run through Alphelion’s Rest on Master offers 56% quest completion. That means it only has to be run twice, and as a pretty quick Lost Sector, that’s not too bad.

If players opt to take on the Legendary version of the Lost Sector, a full clear on the lower difficulty grants around 45%. While this won’t provide the same two-clear quest completion, it really won’t take much more time to jump back in for a third run to clean up a few mobs.

With enough kills in the Lost Sector to sate Riven’s spirit, the quest will be complete, and players can return to Mara in the H.E.L.M. She’ll reward Guardians with another Wish Token and the opportunity to spend it on any number of fabulous goodies.
