Like every good game these days, The First Descendant has a battle pass. Within it, you’ll find tons of rewards, but it’s up to you whether they’re worth the price of admission or not. Purchasing anything in the game with real money requiresCaliber, the in-game currency.

The First Descendant battle pass price

The exchange rate from real money to The First Descendant’s Caliber currency can get a bit confusing. When purchasing the battle pass, you’ll be prompted to pay either500 Caliberfor the standard, ‘Premium Upgrade’ battle pass, or1,500 Caliberfor the ‘Premium Upgrade + 25 Season Level Purchase’ version. The difference between the two is, of course, gaining 25 season levels, which take a while to grind the old fashioned way, so it’s a time saver.

The cheapest way to get the battle pass is by purchasing 520 Caliber from the store (500 Caliber comes with 20 for free) for$9.99 USD. Unfortunately, there is no way to buy the 1,500 Caliber required for the more expensive version of the battle pass. You’ll either have to buy1,060 Caliber for $19.99 USD + 520($30.00 USD total)separately, or2,750 Caliber for $49.99 USD.

Is The First Descendant’s battle pass worth it?

Most of the value in The First Descendant’s battle pass comes through materials and cosmetics. It’s up to your personal preference whether or not you should shell out the cash to get it. More than anything, its value comes through saving you some time gathering materials. Especially because the cosmetics included in the first battle pass are a little underwhelming, in my opinion.

Additionally, many games include in-game currency in their battle pass and The First Descendant is no different. Unfortunately, it’s not enough to make your money back on your purchase. Completing the battle pass will net you 300 Caliber, a few hundred short of refunding the standard Premium Upgrade version.
