The Age of S’jet begins again
My Steam clock tells me thatHomeworld Remastered Collectionunlocks in less than nine hours, but that just means there’s just enough time left to put up this here launch trailer, which is brimming with all the bombast of a Sony or Microsoft E3 sizzle reel, complete with catchy contemporary dance music, beat-synchronized jump cuts, and big text popups.
Already the comments are brimming with complaints about Gearbox not respectingHomeworld‘s “epic feel” and similar nonsense, but hey, the game’s practically out already, so folks who want it will get all of Paul Ruskay’s awesome soundtrack in a matter of hours.
Besides, you can always just turn down the trailer volume and double up on some Chopin as an alternative.I’ve found “Raindrop Prelude” works quite well, and even matches the beats.
