It’s also coming to Xbox One soon

Final Fantasy Xhas come a long, long way. Even in 2001 I remember it being polarizing, from the cast choices, to the cutscene dialogue (I’ll let you ponder on which one in particular became the poster child for that criticism), to the ending and core motivations of the antagonists.

From that flawed but beautiful seed came a full sequel, practically unheard of at the time in theFinal Fantasyseries, on top of a series of cameos in other games and a legacy that would live on over a decade later in the form of a remaster. That compilation, mind (theX/X-2 HD Remaster) arrived on the PC, PS3, PS4, and Vita platforms in the past, but it’s poised for a Switch and Xbox One release very soon.

Although you’ve probably seen these scenes a trillion times (they’ve proliferated all across various video services beyond the confines of the games themselves), you can get a quick glimpse at Tidus and Yuna’s various key moments below from bothXandX-2. If you’re keen on jumping in completely blind somehow you should probably abstain, but everyone else should get a kick out of the mix of action-packed hijinks and romance theXsubseries is known for.
