eShop’s got some muscle after all

3DS eShop games enjoy no success, and developers are idiots for putting their games on the service. While fun to say, the previous statement isn’t always true, as evidenced by news thatGunman Cliveon 3DS has surpassed sales of both its iOS and Android alternatives.

Gunman Clivebeat the iOS version a while ago, and today developer Bertil Hörbergconfirmeddefeat of the Android one. In a world where mobile game devices are said to be eating into the dedicated gaming handheld space, it’s certainly interesting to see an eShop game step ahead of the pack.

I wish the game well in every respect. I have the iOS version myself, and I love it — even if I switch it off after five minutes in an angry huff after some cowboy bastard leathered me. It’s a great throwback game, putting me in mind of Shinobi with stetsons. Worth checking out, whatever your platform of choice.
