Good year for gaming

Nintendo may not be working on a new 2DMetroid, but we’ve got creators like Matt White and Tom Happ out there filling that void withGhost SongandAxiom Verge, respectively.

I come away feeling like we’re in good hands every time I check in on these titles. If this trailer is your introduction toGhost Song, you’ve arrived at the right time. It’s so much more refined than what was presented initially. For extended footage, Darren’sgot you covered. And, what with you possibly being new to it and all, a reminder: “approximately half of the game world is optional.”

Now if only there were a resurgence inSymphony of the Night-style games. That’d be heavenly.
