A Bombshell of a Crew
Video game adaptations have been hit or miss over the years. When we getThe Last of Us, we also getAssassin’s Creed. While they have been getting better over the years, it remains to be seen how long they’ll hold out. Luckily,Falloutis shaping up to be another great adaptation, if the production is anything to go by.
Leading development are husband and wife team Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, famous for HBO’s underrated sci-fi seriesWestworld. If the last name Nolan rings a bell, then you’d be right: Jonathan is the brother of legendary director Christopher Nolan (Interstellar,Oppenheimer,Dark Knighttrilogy). The techno-fantasy of Westworld fits superbly into the world of Fallout, as well as the themes. The series has beenin development since last year.

If that’s not enough, the cast is enough to a Deathclaw cry. In top billing are Walton Goggins, Ella Purnell, and Kyle MacLachlan. Funny enough, all three have been in video game-focused content. Goggins, who will play an unnamed Ghoul, was antagonist Mathias in 2018’sTomb Raiderfilm. Purnell, known for her role in Showtime’sYellowjackets, played the crazed Jinx in the critically acclaimedArcane(orArcane: League of Legends). Lastly, MacLachlan, famous forTwin Peaks, portrayed Donald Love inGrand Theft Auto III.
Congratulations and Happy 25th Birthday! We made something special for the occasion.#Fallout#Fallout25@BethesdaStudios@Bethesda@Fallout@Kilter_Filmspic.twitter.com/eFg7t5O8Wa

The series also stars Xelia Mendes-Jones, Aaron Moten, Michael Emerson, Leslie Uggams, Zach Cherry, Mike Doyle, and Dale Dickey, just to name a few. It’s clear thatFalloutwill be a big one for Amazon Prime. The show even garnered fan-favorite Todd Howard, the series director at Bethesda, as executive producer. The streaming service also plans on adapting theGod of Warseries. No official trailer for the project has been released.
