Tom Clancy’sThe Division 2has plenty of content to enjoy in mid-2025, and we also have a Payday collab ongoing (as of writing on July 15). Unfortunately, there are still reported crashes on PC, and they seem to have increased since the recent update.

Thankfully, there are some easy fixes available for the players to try out. They might not miraculously fix the crashes, but you’ll encounter them a lot less. Additionally, you’ll also reduce incidences of lost progression (if the crashes happened during a long mission, you’ll lose all your rewards and restart from the beginning).

The Division 2 crash fixes and solutions

One of the biggest reasons the game crashes on PC is directly linked to Ubisoft’s launcher. You’ll have to run the launcher even if you purchased the game on Steam. An easy fix for the problem is to reinstall the launcher from scratch. You’ll have to uninstall and then re-download the launcher to complete the process from Ubisoft’s official website. This is my trusted method whenever I experience too many crashes.
