ForMario‘s 25th anniversary, Converse teamed up with Nintendo to release someSuper Mario Bros.-themed Chuck Taylors. Personally, I thought they were too tacky, as though someone just slapped on a bunch of stickers and called it a day. Well, Converse is at it again, but this time, the sneaks are far more tasteful.
The One Star Super Mario Bros. OX, which comes in black or white, is a low top leather sneaker with a very simple design. Starman replaces the Converse logo, and a mini or Super Mario sprite adorns the heel. The white version especially has caught my eye, a lot more than something likethis, at least.
Naturally, these will be exclusive to Japan. If someone knows how to obtain a pair once they drop in March, hit me up with the deets.
