This week, the retro purists of Hamster have dug into their bag of classic SNK titles and pulled out the medieval action-adventureCrossed Swords,which is available to purchase now on PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
Galivanting into arcades in 1990, before being ported to the home Neo Geo market a year later, Crossed Swords is an over-the-shoulder (or should that be through-the-shoulder?) title that is similar in style the SNK’s ownThe Super Spy, although it trades in the guns and espionage action for a dungeons and dragons theme.
The player controls a wireframe model of their brave knight and battles a myriad of weird creatures and fellow steel-suited warriors.Magic, weapon upgrades and special attacks can help you out in a pinch as you battle through several chapters to rescue the fair princess of Belkana from the demon lord, Nausizz.
