Omnimovement is the new hot topic about the upcomingCall of Duty: Black Ops 6and it’s set to completely change the meta. Let’s find out how it exactly works and how you may implement it in matches for the best results.
The reason why everyone is talking about Omnimovement is because it’s a new movement mechanic that will change how you’ve knownCall of Dutyall these years.Black Ops 6is the first game Activision is implementing this change in, a “complete redesign from the ground up” by Treyarch.

How does Omnimovement work in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
Unlike all previousCall of Dutygames, Omnimovement will allow you to move in a 360-degree range, which means there will be endless possibilities to outplay enemies once the game launches in October 2024.
On July 19, 2025, the devs in their X post said, “You will be able to sprint, dive, and slide in any direction as well as maintain full 360 degree range of motion from the new supine prone position across all modes.”

Movement will feel a lot smoother and more natural with the implementation of this mechanic inBlack Ops 6. You’ll feel like a full-fledged Black Ops soldier as you dive, sprint, and slide in any direction you want.

To sprint in any direction, combine the Shift and W, A, S, and D buttons on your keyboard if you intend to play on a PC. On consoles, all you need to do is move the Left Stick in any direction with the Omnimovement turned on.
That’s not all. Omnimovement will also include a new prone system where you will stay fixed in one position but can rotate in all directions possible. You can check the image above to see how it looks with and without the feature.

Can you disable Omnimovement?
No, Treyarch devs haveconfirmedyou cannot disable Omnimovement inCall of Duty: Black Ops 6. This feature will bring something new to the table known as “Intelligent Movement.”
What it will do is take the least input from a controller or keyboard and mouse and allow you to move in the most efficient way possible. You’d be able to choose between enabling or disabling Crouch, Mantle, and Sprint assists.
