Whether you’re playing the SNES classic or the 2023 Switch remake,Super Mario RPGis filled with hidden treasure chests. However, finding them all is no easy feat.
There are a total of 39 hidden treasure chests to find inSuper Mario RPG.The locations of each of these are mostly identical between the SNES and Switch versions of the game. There is one difference in the Forest Maze, and one chest that was originally missable in the Mushroom Kingdom appears to not be missable in the remake. Otherwise, the same guides can be used regardless of which game you’re playing. Retro fans are welcome here!

Aside from the loot inside each chest, nothing! The Thwomp in Monstro Town that comments on how many chests you’ve found will have new dialogue, but that’s kind of the extent of it. The things we’ll do for the sake of completion.
