‘In the heart of Vinewood’

GTA Onlinehas been a go-to for me for nearly the past six years.

Even at launch, sans-heists, I enjoyed reliving my exploits from the campaign, as I was awaiting that originally planned single player DLC (that never came, because of a shift away from solo content, Rockstar revealed in 2017).GTA Onlineis comfort food: something you can dive into and enjoy pretty much at any point in your life due to the rapid rate at which Rockstar adds new stuff. Now, they’re gearing up for something that’s been teased for years: casinos.

Although you could look at the casino from version 1.0 on, you couldn’t do anything about it, despite the taunting sign that it would be ready soon. But after eagle-eyed players caught construction equipment in from of the casino this week Rockstar went ahead and just tweeted the news, noting, “Opening soon: A luxury casino in the heart of Vinewood.”

Yep, this is exactly the sort of thing that will get me playing again. While I lament the loss of more stories inGTA Vproper,GTA Onlinehas made enough of a name for itself and kept the overall package relevant for the better part of a decade: it deserves props.
