One of last year’s biggest success stories was the phenomenal re-release of the originalCrash Bandicootgames.Crash Bandicoot: N.Sane Trilogysold gangbusters upon its PS4 release, holdingchart supremacyfor weeks and inspiring a host of horrid new memes.

Activision have taken note of all of the green rolling in and are once again preparing to stoke the nostalgia fires. In arecent investor report, in which the publisher summarises the success of 2017, Activision state that they plan to revisit more titles from their back catalogue.

“We expect to deliver ongoing content for our various franchises, including expansion packs forHearthstoneandDestiny 2, in-game events forOverwatch, and map packs forCall of Duty: WWII,” says the publisher, before adding “as well as releases of remastered versions of titles from our library of IP”.

No mention is made of which specific IP are being considered for remaster, but brands such asSpyro the Dragonseem to be a snug fit for such treatment. WithCrash Bandicootraking in the big bucks, I’m sure we won’t have to wait too long to find out who is next to receive a digital facelift.
