Forget a staycation, next year I’m taking a slaycation! A littleover two years ago, I stumbled across the Twitter account for Microbird, a game developer working on a quaint-looking action-RPG calledDungeons of Hinterberg. I loved the art direction, the setting, and the character design; it checked a lot of boxes for me. I told myself I’d try to keep the game in mind, but that didn’t happen. I forgot about it until I saw the debut trailer for the game in today’s Xbox Game Showcase....

$13.99 Square Enix has released the mobile version ofFinal Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions (itself a remake originally debuting on PSP) on Android devices. It’s basically the same version as the iOS release from 2011, with touch control support, for $13.99. As for the quality of the port, it seems to be getting good marks on Google Play, with complaints ranging from occasional crashes to font issues on specific devices....

After being dropped as developer Yager (Spec Ops: The Line) was recentlyfired from developingDead Island 2by publisher Deep Silver as the companies’ “respective visions of the project fell out of alignment.” Last week, July 22, Yager Productions filed for insolvency.
