Sideshows and Snakeheads Pinball FXturns ten years old this week. To celebrate, developers Zen Studios has a double announcement. First up, the simulator’s latest iteration,Pinball FX3,is now available on Nintendo Switch. Also, all formats will receive two new tables free;Adventure LandandSon of Zeus. Adventure Land takes you on a trip to the carnivals of your dad’s Good Old Days, featuring a design based on classic rides and sideshow attractions. Though Zen have intendedAdventure Landto be a more stripped-down “classic pinball” affair, it’s still amusingly optimistic in its layout and design....

In any case, even thoughPower Drill Massacrewas unfinished at the time, it was a pretty good first impression. Originally released in 2015, it helped establish the lo-fi horror genre among the indie market. Maybe. I mean, it probably helped, but I think it was something that gradually emerged through the work of Puppet Combo and others....
UFO interactive teasing western release for shooter Good news, everyone! One of the few shoot-’em-ups to come to PlayStation 3 this generation looks to be making the jump across the Pacific. As spotted onGematsu, UFO has taken toFacebookwith some teaser images forMamoru-kun wa Norowarete Shimatta! Meikai Katsugeki. Mamoru-kunwas developed by G.Rev, the team behind last year’s high-definition re-release of Dreamcast shooterUnder Defeat. Similar to that title,Mamoru-kunhas no problem bucking genre trends, differentiating itself from its peers by eschewing eschewing genre mainstays such as flight and auto-scrolling in favor of ground combat and player-controlled movement....
RAGEwas patched for PC shortly after launch, but it wasn’t completely fixed. There have still been issues with blurring textures, but a new patch is on the way that will sort everything out. “We have a bicubic-upsample+detail texture option for the next PC patch that will help alleviate the blurry textures inRAGE,”said id Software’s John Carmack on Twitter. RAGEreleased on October 5 and got pretty good reviews. The PC version, however, was marred with reports ofvisual problems and lacking options....
Cool Your Jets Saber Interactive has released ahighly adrenalized trailerfor its upcoming racing sequelRedout II. The anti-gravity jet streamer is currently in development for PC and console platforms, is shooting for a 2022 release, and — as you can see in the video below — is looking suitably flashy. ‘A little more possibilities, and less compromises’ Fans ofSayonara Wild Heartshave a big new reason to be excited about Simogo’s future. TheMalmö-based indie studio has decided to team up with publisher Annapurna Interactive again, but on a grander scale. They’ve signed a “multi-year partnership” that will cover games “across all platforms.” Simogo’s publishing deal “means that we can do things that aren’t possible for us to make by ourselves. It also means that we can work even more regularly with the composers and artists we already love to work with....
It’ll be at least another year In what has now become an annual tradition (two years running!), Ubisoft has delayedSkull and Bones. It needs more time in port before hitting the high seas. Despite Ubisoft’s claim at E3 2018 thatSkull and Boneswilllaunch in 2019, that won’t be the case. As part of the French publisher’s2018-2019 fiscal report, it was revealed thatSkull and Boneswill release sometime after March 2020. You’d be forgiven if the titleSkull and Bonesdoesn’t immediately set off bells of recognition....

Free if you preordered Tales of Zestiria Tales of Symphoniais coming to Steam on February 2, Bandai Namco announced today. The GameCube classic will be available free to anyone who pre-orderedTales of Zestiriavia Steam prior to its October launch, though there’s no word on how it will be priced for everyone else. Tales of Symphoniahas also been released on PlayStation 2 and on PlayStation 3 in a high-definition bundle with its Nintendo Wii sequel,Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World....
