New single-player challenges hit BioShock 2 today

The first add-on forBioShock 2‘s single-player portion, dubbed “Protector Trials,” goes live today on Xbox LIVE Marketplace and PlayStation Network. Personally, I got extremely tired of doing this duringBioShock 2‘s story, but then again, Ididgo for all the Adam available (you didn’t necessarily need to). Even still, I’ve heard people say they love the potential for strategy in these fights; this add-on is for them, not me....

Order of Ecclesia contains more bare flesh than most Castlevania games

Here we have a trailer forCastlevania: Order of Ecclesiawhich seems to have a heavy emphasis on the powers the new heroine, Shanoa, will acquire in the game. And, as can be expected, we get to see her do battle with several very large boss enemies. Plus, she’s kind of a fox. I’m quite curious to see how this one pans out. Nick’simpressionsof it seemed largely positive, which is a good sign, and I’m very rarely disappointed by the 2DCastlevaniatitles....

Peripherals: Many tentacles pimpin’ on the keys

[Last week I wanted you to tell me about the awesome and/or asinine peripherals you’ve come across in your timeas a gamer. nekobun has noticed a trend across all platforms and console generations, and writes about the keyboard add-ons that seemed to exist for almost every platform. Want to see your own blog on the front page? Write a blog onthe current topic: Acquisition. — JRo] I’m not sure if it was an early symptom of the writer’s bug or just a fascination with adding more buttons to things, but for the longest time, I’ve been fascinated by the seeming inevitability that, if a gaming system comes out, someone is going to find a way to slap a QWERTY keyboard on it....
