Sakuna: of Rice and Ruin reveals new spin-off, mobile game, and anime sequel

Fans ofSakuna: Of Rice and Ruinare eating good today. Three separate new projects wererevealedfor the series, including a mobile game, a new console game, and an anime sequel. The rice-growing action-RPGthat started it all first launched in 2020, with XSEED Games and Marvelous publishing the Edelweiss-developed title. It went on to inspire a TV anime adaptation, which ran for 13 episodes starting in July 2024. The anime is currently streaming on Crunchyroll and Netflix, and more is in the works....

SNK Playmore has been acquired by China’s Ledo Millenium

For $63.5 million SNK Playmore has reportedly been bought by Chinese company Ledo Millenium, paying out $63.5 million for 81.25% of their shares, granting them majority stake in the company. The core reason given by Oriential Securities (part of a joint venture with LeyouTechnologies) CEO Zheng Jianhui for purchasing SNK is its IP and characters. They’ve announced that they want to play out their business strategy like “Marvel,” which branching forms of media outside of just games....

Steam Link streaming app is finally available for iOS devices
