E3: Wii U launching in white; black … coming soon?

As I was walking around the Nintendo booth, I noticed that some Wii U consoles were white and others were black. We had been introduced to the white one already, so I was curious to know if the black console was official … or just on display for the press conference. According to a Nintendo representative, the Wii U will launch in white, with black coming … someday. There is still a chance it could launch in white and black, but it sounds like black is coming a little later....

eShop downloads on the Switch won’t be console locked

Welcome to 2005 One of the more curious choices Nintendo used to make with downloadable games came in the form of console locking content. On any of its previous systems with some form of storefront (Wii, DSi, 3DS, and Wii U), every download would be associated with the serial number of the hardware it was downloaded from. This meant that should your console die, get stolen, or you trade in the hardware, all of your digitally purchased games would go with it....

Everything that happened at Square Enix’s mostly retreading E3 2018 Showcase

The thunder, it was stolen! Square Enix tempered our expectations by saying that their E3 “Showcase” was more like a prepped Direct, and man I’m glad they did that. With hardly any reveals it really was a showcase of trailers, giving us info we pretty much knew already just with a different flair — some of which was presented at other conferences already. The announcement of a new Platinum joint, especially one that looks as flashy asBablylon’s Fall, wasawesome, but that’s about it, and it’s coming in a nebulous “2019” window so we might not even hear about that one for a while....

Animal Crossing was second We’re at the point in 2020 where we’re celebratingthe best of the best(or the worst of the worst!). Fire Emblem Heroes gets a ridiculous live action trailer

Official cosplay Fire Emblem Heroeshas done well for Nintendo. I mean, it’s kind of funny that Mario for all intents and purposes failed on the mobile platform as a premium game, but a gashapon gambling free-to-playFire Emblemgame became a hit, but that’s how the cookie crumbled. As the success of getting whales to spend hundreds of dollars trying to get a 5-Star Marth roll (coincidentallyyou can get a free five star now), Nintendo has released a live action commercial on their mobile channel, asking players to “choose their legends....
