The demo will feature three missions, showcasing the three separate stories that will be included in the final product (Leon/Helena, Chris/Piers, Jake/Sherry). Also note that you can’t just download the demo — oh no, that would be too easy! Instead, you have to redeem the code on the back of theDragon’s Dogmainstruction manual, download the unlock, put in yourDragon’s Dogmadisc and get the new title update, then you can download the demo from inside the game....

Scraps: Crap we missed on 6/19/08

Celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton decided he’sgoing to be launchinga “Gossip on the Go” phone call service. For a measly $5, Perez — or a recording of Perez, although I’m not sure there’s a difference — will call you with the latest gossip. His readers went bats**t, calling him a sellout, among other things. With that in mind, I spent most of the day negotiating with AT&T to provide a similar service to Destructoid readers....

Sega promoting Alien: Isolation with scary eels

Would you eat this to maybe win a copy? Alien: Isolationlaunches in Japan this week and Sega is promoting it in the creepiest way possible. Over the next week in Tokyo, folks will have an opportunity to feast on the closest thing to a real live Chestburster on this planet — all for an opportunity to win a copy of the new horror game. It seems the terrors pictured in Ridley Scott’s 1979 film weren’t too out of this world, because there’s a species of eel goby (known in Japan as the warasubo) that looks a lot like an infant Xenomorph....

Super Bomberman R sold better in Japan than most of the series in the past 20 years

Since Bomberman World in 1998 Super Bomberman Rhas room for improvement, but Konami has a lot to be excited for given its early sales numbers. Right now we just have Japan to go off of, but looking at Media Create sales, this is the firstBombermangame since 1998 to break 50,000 in sales in that region. This is a $50 game, mind, and not a downloadable like many others. Yep, onlyBomberman Worldwas able to surpass that mark nearly 20 years ago on PS1, and had 16 more attempts before it hit the mark again withSuper Bomberman R....

This is the third demo available to the public, followingEpisode Duscae, Duscae 2.0(upgrade toEpisode Duscae) andPlatinum Demo. Despite the name,Judgement Discnot on a disc but downloadable....

The latest Heroes of the Storm event combines Starcraft and Warcraft into one metal mix

I dig the evil Mei skin No, “Craft Wars” is not the latest hit reality show featuring dueling teams of art majors: it’s the newestHeroes of the Stormevent. It means exactly what it says, in that it combinesStarcraftandWarcraftinto one game, somethingHeroesdoes quite well already. Don’t get too excited though, as Craft Wars is basically a cosmetic event. You’ll need to buy the skins featured in it with shards (in-game currency) or gems (premium), but there’s a few great ones on offer here, as well as some badass art....
