The best of the best! CEO 2015, one of the biggest fighting game tournaments of the year, took place this weekend and had some insane moments. My favorite was probably the above match between Armada and Leffen inSuper Smash Bros. Melee. Yes, it’s Fox against Fox, but these two play so differently and are always striving to do better that it’s anything but boring or predictable. I didn’t get to see everything, but certain games stuck with me as I watched....

Nintendo just released a pair of new videos for upcoming Wii U exclusiveRayman Legendsand they lookfiiiiiiiine(I said that while holding my hand on my mouth and leaning back all cool like). The main gameplay video above shows off much of the same stuff we saw at E3 2012, mainly how another player controls specific aspects of the game with the Wii U GamePad. I say mostly because there was a big problem with the Switch version: It was unbeatable. A game-breaking bug rendered the final few levels inaccessible and it put a damper on my enthusiasm for the game. I was gripped by the artwork, enchanted by the soundtrack, and enjoying wracking my mind, but I couldn’t finish the game....

Smashing the Battle A new, comic book styled 3D action game was announced at the recent Sony Korea press conference.Smashing the Battlecomes from one-man Korean developer Studio HG. It started life as a mobile game, but a PS4 version is in the works. I’ve been pretty impressed by the 3D model game going on in Korea, at least based off of the few good-looking games I’ve been exposed to in the last year or two....

A deadly game of hide and go seek I absolutely lovedCrysis 2. It had a relentless pace,gorgeous visuals, and gameplay that tickled my brain as much as my trigger finger. For a game that was never on my radar (I never played the original on PC), it absolutely swept the rug from under me. Best impulse buy I ever made. Having gotten some time to play around withCrysis 3,I feel pretty confident that the romance is going to carry on come February....

When Liquid Entertainment revealed its new action-RPG,Rise of the Argonauts, I almost wept rainbows, I was so happy. That was only because all I could think about were stop-motion skeletons and the chance to finally shatter some clay-fashioned bone in a videogame based onJason and the Argonauts.Much to my bitter dismay, there will be no such thing, but what I can tell you is that this game is an ambitious one indeed, as its developers wish to completely revise the action-RPG genre....
