EA ditches the PS3, opts for Xbox 360/PC version of Red Alert 3

Just when we though it was safe to assume that EA had finally domesticated the Sony beast and ironed out any remaining issues they had with programming for the PS3, comes the unfortunate news thatRed Alert3 (for the PS3) has been shelved — while all resources are diverted to the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game. This news isn’t much of a shock considering the recentwalkthroughtrailer for the game doesn’t list it as a PS3 game anyway, but it is sort of odd for EA to deny the delay toCVGin the morning, only to have a spokesperson spill their guts about it a few hours later....

EA is doing its E3-but-not-E3 thing on June 11

‘World premieres, news, and more’ Electronic Arts is normally the first company to get its E3 festivities done and dusted. Typically held the Saturday before E3, day minus-two, EA is the warm-up press conference before the furious onslaught over the next few days. However, if this year were a normal year, the timing of EA’s event would make it last. But, as you and I both know, this is anything but a normal year....

Falcom’s Zwei: The Arges Adventure soars to PC January 24

Prepare for a heavy dose of cuteness Well, people. It turns out that NIS America’s PC port ofYs VIIIisn’t the only Nihon Falcom title launching in January since XSEED plans to releaseZwei: The Arges Adventureon the 24th. As we get to see more of the action RPG in motion, it continues to look freaking adorable. In fact, the visuals might cause me to hug my computer screen. Also, it’s going to be fun seeing the game’s two leads react to the world’s environments through the use of puns and snarky comments....

Japanese gaming publicationFamitsu’sout of 40gaming reviews have become sort of a benchmark over there, so we like to keep our eye out on what they say for our favorite games. I don’t do math, but it looks likewe’re on the same pageas Famitsu when it comes to Valve’s zombie-fied shooter,Left 4 Dead. The game scored 35/40 in their latest issue, taking the top spot. One of the four editors even gave it a perfect score....

Final Fantasy VIIis, without a doubt, the most influential and well known game in theFinal Fantasyseries. Ghost Recon Breakpoint puts up a good fight

I’m surprisingly into this game after E3 I likedGhost Recon Wildlandsway more in theory than in execution, but with this year’s follow-up,Ghost Recon Breakpoint, my mind is at ease.Ubisoft’s E3 showing brought me around and, frankly, I’m as surprised as anyone by this turn of events. I feel like most people who had fun withWildlandsdon’t need any additional convincing, but for everyone else out there, don’t write offBreakpoint. It was an eventful playable demo full of botched plans, full squad wipes, pre-release graphical weirdness typical of Ubisoft E3 builds, and even a complete power outage at one point, but despite having a rough go of it on Jon Bernthal’s island of drones, I came away optimistic aboutBreakpoint....

Kotaku lied: Nintendo loves penises AND butts!

Destructoid offers a re-BUTT-al In arecent article on Kotaku, writer Patricia Hernandez pointed out that, while Nintendo will censor asses, it has no problem showcasing a delicious penis. She usedAnimal Crossing: New Leafas evidence, criticizing Nintendo’s hypocrisy forcensoring an assinFire Emblemwhile allowing Michelangelo’s David to strut his stiffening stuff. Well, like her, I also haveNew Leaf, and I can confirmAnimal Crossingis actually pretty consistent with the dong-to-derriere ratio.
