Story of Seasons, Rune Factory producer Yoshifumi Hashimoto farms on vacation

Enjoys doing background research in his free time While people taking their work home with them is not by any means a new phenomenon, the concept of “work-life balance” is perhaps more of a concern now than ever before. With the advent of the Internet and mobile phones, employers now have unprecedented access to their employees during supposed off-time, and, in many cases, often expect workers to be available at odd hours or around the clock....

The animals of the L.A. Zoo make our E3 2010 predictions!

Last year around this same time, I set out on a mission to see if a local Los Angeles psychic could make better predictions about E3 than a highly-paid videogame analyst. It was an interesting, exciting experiment that yielded some trulyfascinating results. Inspired by last year’s post, I wanted to once again get predictions from someone (or, in this case, somethings) that knew very little about the videogame industry. I thought:What about animals?...

The console ports for Tower of Guns are pretty all right

Raised my tower for sure The roguelike first-person-shooterTower of Gunsrecently launched on Xbox One and PS3 / PS4 as a PlayStation Plus title after last month’s PC launch. You’re tasking with traversing a tower literally made of and filled with guns. Weapons and perks are unlocked through your multiple playthroughs, some of which won’t last long as death is a staple in roguelikes. After playing it across PC, Xbox One, and PS4 platforms, I can easily recommend any version of the game....

The games I’m most excited for in 2022 are the ones I don’t know about

Giving some small indie games a chance In recent years, I haven’t branched out as much as I’d like when it comes to my gaming taste. I did venture away from exclusively playing AAA games, but the indies I played were the huge titles that may as well be AAA at this point just based on their ubiquity, likeHades, Disco Elysium, Stardew Valley, and so on. I really love AAA games, but when I sit down to play one, I pretty much know right away what to expect in terms of the overall experience....

The official PlayStation 4 app is out on Android and iOS

Nice! That long awaitedPlayStation 4 appis now live, and you may find it on bothGoogle PlayandiTunes. What does the app do, well basically it allows you to check your trophies, friend list, and connect to your soon-to-be-owned PS4 for extra functionality similar to SmartGlass. It does have a PlayStation Store option, but it’s basically just a link to the marketplace via a browser, which is disappointing. There is a reasoning behind this though, since the marketplace providers would stand to make a cut off of purchases within the app, technically designated as IAPs....
