Today, September 20th, marked the first day of the 2007 Tokyo Game Show. Today and tomorrow are both set aside as business days, allowing media and industry types a little bit of breathing room and meeting time before the Japanese public is unleashed on the show on September 22nd and 23rd. Over 180,000 attendees are expected this year, and more than 200 exhibitors in over 1,700 booths will show their wares in eight halls spanning 54,000 square meters....

Upcoming Square Enix 3DS RPGBravely Default: Flying Fairyisstupidlybeautiful. Exquisite. This game’s visuals alone could get anyone excited about Nintendo’s 3DS and its AR capabilities. Bravely Defaultis not quite done yet, so Square Enix set up an AR experience at their Tokyo Game Show booth this week to show the title off. It seems like standard RPG demo fare at first, but it absolutely kills at the end. It left me with my jaw wide open....

Opening this summer Back in 2016, Nintendo and Universal Studios announced Super Nintendo World, a new theme park with a Super Mario motif, would open in Japan before the 2020 Olympics. A triple-AAvatar: The Last AirbenderRPG is now in the works fromWorld War Zdeveloper Saber Interactive and Paramount Game Studios. It will take place thousands of years in the past before the animated show with a completely new story in the universe. This game will have us play as an all-new, never-before-seen Avatar from a long time ago. The press release says to expect “dynamic combat alongside companions” as we master all four elements and get “immersed in a vibrant world....
